May 2, 2017: The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) wishes to remind customers and members of the public that it is committed to taking decisive action against persons involved in acts of illegal water trucking, connections and sale of water.

It should be noted that the WAS Act 1965: Provision 31 (1) of the Fourth Schedule, stipulates that it is illegal for anyone with a water service from WASA, to supply or wilfully permit another person to take any of that water for use in other premises. WASA’s Security Department will be monitoring activity in this regard and will prosecute persons found to be in breach of the provisions of the Act.

Customers are also reminded that the Authority’s truck borne water service is FREE and the sale of water delivered through this service is strictly prohibited.

All authorized water delivery trucks bear the Authority’s Corporate Logo and its employees are identifiable by their WASA issued identification cards which must be on display at all times.

To be eligible for WASA’s truck borne water service, the customer’s account must be paid up to date. When requesting a truck borne supply, customers are required to call the Authority’s Toll Free Numbers: 800-4H2O (800-4420/4426) and provide their name, address and account number.

Customers are asked to call our toll free numbers to report all instances of illegal water trucking, connections or sale of water.
