The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the general public that the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Anthony Carmona has assented to the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic (Amendment) (No 2) Act of 2017. The Ministry is currently working with the office of the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs for the publication of the requisite Legal Notices to allow for the regulation and enforcement of the new speed limits in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry has commenced the process of installing the necessary signage to inform motorists of the impending changes. The Ministry will continue to update the general public with the requisite information as it pertains to the amendments to the new speed limit.
