The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services has been informed that some recipients of the Christmas Food Support Cards were unable to access the funds on their cards. Enquiries revealed that the problem was as a result of the information contained in some of the packages received from the card supplier.
We are pleased to advise that the matter has been rectified. Persons who have been unable to access the funds on their cards should visit the Ministry’s Chaguanas Social Welfare Local Board Office, located at Eleanor Street, Chaguanas, to have the matter addressed. Card recipients are also reminded that they must present the Card and a form of national identification. Please note that this process will be facilitated up to 12 noon on December 31st 2017.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this occurrence and reiterates that it was outside the control of the Ministry.
