The Ministry of Education has no agreement with drivers of the Yellow Buses used to transport school children and is therefore not responsible for paying them.
These private school buses are identified by the words “SCHOOL BUS”
There have been several misleading reports in the Media about the payment of private school buses which said the “Ministry owes fees to school bus drivers.”
These buses must be registered and approved by the Licensing Division of the Ministry of Works and Transport and painted in the approved yellow.
The Ministry of Education wishes to advise parents that this private school transport system is a business venture and is regulated under the Ministry of Works and Transport.
