
March 11, 2016: Senator the Honourable Jennifer Baptiste-Primus was paid a courtesy call by the United States Small Business Administration Associate Administrator, Tameka Montgomery on Friday March 11, 2016.
Ms. Montgomery shared several key points on how the U.S. Federal Agency supports and develops small businesses in the United States. Ms. Montgomery also gave insight into the programmes the Federal Agency implements to assist the growth-oriented, small businesses in expanding their reach. This is done through a curricula, developed with a focus on on-going management, technical training to grow one’s business, access to capital and key personnel.
Minister Baptiste-Primus noted that the information shared proved relevant to the Ministry, which has responsibility for the development of the small enterprise sector in Trinidad and Tobago.
