The Honourable Anthony Garcia, Minister of Education, will attend a meeting of the Finance and General Purposes Committee (F&GPC) of the University of the West Indies (UWI) at its Regional Headquarters, Mona Campus, Jamaica, on 20th February, 2018. Minster Garcia left on Monday for the meeting.
His attendance at the meeting ensures that the Ministry is kept abreast of developments regarding the financial matters of both the St. Augustine Campus and UWI’s regional body.
The agenda for the meeting will include reports from the F&GPCs of all campuses, the Chairman’s Report, Matters from the Boards for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies and Matters for Noting and Ratification.
Minister Garcia is the Government’s representative on the Campus Council, Campus Finance and General Purposes Committee, the University Council, and the University Finance and General Purposes Committee of the University of the West Indies.
