The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a traffic disruption along the Papourie Road, Monkey Town, Barrackpore in the vicinity of Bridge B 1/ 8 Papourie Road. This particular route will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00am Wednesday 21st March to 6:00am Friday 23rd March, 2018.
This has become necessary to facilitate the erection of a Bailey bridge.
The public is advised to be aware of the traffic adjustments along the Papourie Road in the vicinity of the work site. Two (2), alternative routes have been established. They are as follows:
1) At the Papourie Road 6.2km turn right onto Lalbeharry Trace then left onto Tasker
Road then onto New Colonial Road 1km back to Papourie Road 10.6km (vice versa).
2) At the Papourie Road 7.5km turn left onto Monkey Town Cemetery Trace, then turn
right onto Cottage Road back to Papourie Road 8.15km (vice versa).
