Trinidad and Tobago Inter-Island Transportation Co. Ltd, wishes to advise that, at today’s date, all major works relating to the engines’ overhauls and the interior passenger upgrades have been completed.

The only outstanding works at this time are the painting works which have been temporarily halted due to heavy rainfall throughout the country. It is critical to carry out the underwater hull works at the drydock facility and to chemically treat and paint the vessel to prevent sea growth that may hinder the vessel’s performance.

The Meteorological Office has advised of adverse weather conditions due to Tropical Storm Kirk.  This situation will be monitored closely as it can impact on the time spent by the M.V Cabo Star on the drydock.  At this time, the Management had been advised that a possible additional day at the drydock may become necessary to complete all the necessary painting works.

Should the drydocking period be extended the following contingency measure in place will continue:

  1. Vehicles up to 7000 kgs. would be accommodated on the T&T Spirit during the period of the dry-docking;

The Management of TTIT regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by any delay at the dockyard.  We wish to thank the users of the service for their understanding as we continue to improve the cargo operations.
