The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) notes with concern recent media reports related to the ongoing land acquisition process for the construction of the Curepe Interchange.
The MOWT wishes to assure the public that positive discussions with the residents are ongoing as The Valuations Division awaits evidential support for their submitted claims.
Furthermore, in the matter of the State’s Valuator, Ms Marlene Agge, the MOWT would like to reinforce its confidence in her professionalism and the manner in which she continues to execute her duties in fulfilling the best interest of the Government and all tax payers.
As the valuation process continues, the MOWT remains committed to ensuring that both residents and taxpayers are fairly treated and hopes the residents are committed to the highest level of fairness, accountability and transparency.
