Schools being used as emergency shelters & schools affected by adverse weather

The Ministry of Education wishes to advise that the following schools which were closed due to the heavy rainfall and flood waters have reopened today Wednesday 24th October, 2018. The schools are:

1.Durham Village SDMS Primary School

2. Todd’s Road R.C Primary School

3.Caroni SDMS Primary School

4. La Horquetta North Government Primary School

5. Blachisseuse Government Secondary

6. Caroni SDMS ECCE

7. Bejucal SDMS ECCE

8. Aranguez Government ECCE

9. SWAHA Aranguez ECCE

10.St. Augutine South Government ECCE. 

 

 

TheMinistry of Education is expressing thanks to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, Ministry of Works and Transport, Regional Corporations, MTS, other agencies, parents, teachers and principals who have contributed to the reopening of these schools. Meanwhile, the following schools remain closed.

     

SCHOOLS CURRENTLY IN USE AS SHELTERS:

  1. Bamboo Grove Presbyterian
  2. La Horquetta South Government Primary School
  3. Las Lomas Government Primary School
  4. Madras Government Primary School
  5. St. David’s RC Primary School

SCHOOLS CLOSED AS A RESULT OF ADVERSE WEATHER:

  1. ASJA Ladies ECCE
  2. Caroni Presbyterian Primary School
  3. Cunapo St. Francis RC Primary School
  4. North Oropuche Government Primary School
  5. North Oropuche RC Primary School
  6. San Raphael RC Primary School
  7. St. Helena Presbyterian Primary School
  8. St. Helena SDMS Primary School
  9. Valencia South Government Primary School
  10. Vega De Oropouche ECCE
  11. Vishnu Boys' Hindu College
  12. Warrenville Presbyterian Primary School
  13. Warrenville TIA ECCE
  14. Warrenville TIA Primary School
  15. St. Augustine South Government Primary School
