The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs advises the public that no sporting, or other activities, will be held at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago, until the completion of construction works and the official hand over of the facility by the Urban Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT).

While the rehabilitation works are in progress, no activities can take place until Phases I and II are fully completed, clearance is granted by OSHA, and the facility is handed over to the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.  As such, the Dwight Yorke Stadium remains a construction site, and therefore closed to the public.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs remains committed to ensuring that the facility is restored to its former glory as the premier sporting facility in Tobago.

The Ministry apologizes for any inconvenience caused, however this is necessary to ensure the safety of all users of the facility.
