Members of the public are advised that the “First National Friendly Society” is currently not registered under the Friendly Societies Act. The Registrar of the Friendly Societies Division, a Division which falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development is responsible for ensuring compliance with this Act.
Under Section 6 of the Friendly Societies Act Chap. 32:50, all Friendly Societies are required to be registered under the Act. As First National is not registered under the Friendly Societies Act, no permission has been granted by the Registrar of Friendly Societies permitting the operation of this organization as a Friendly Society.
Members of the public are hereby notified to desist from joining this “Friendly Society” until they are properly registered, as these members of the public will be unable to be provided with the benefits associated with a registered Friendly Society.
