Parents and guardians seeking admission for their children to infant year one in a public primary school are advised that the application period begins on Friday, February 1st, 2019. The Ministry of Education has announced that Standardised Application Forms are available at all public primary schools and Education District Offices from February 1 to March 15, 2019. Forms can be obtained during NORMAL working hours at these locations or from the Ministry’s website at www.moe.gov.tt/education/primary/application
The Ministry underscores that no registration fee, interview or examination is required for admittance to a primary school. Principals wishing to utilise online registration may do so but must also ensure that paper copies of application forms are available to prospective parents. Principals are also reminded that under no circumstances should a registration fee or request for a financial or in-kind contribution be imposed on parents/guardians as a condition for acceptance of a child into a school.
Completed application forms must be submitted to the school(s) of choice by March 15, 2019. Parents/Guardians of successful applicants will be contacted by the school during the period May 15 - 31, 2019.
