The Ministry of Education continues to break ground in improving its services to teachers and staff members as the recently launched “Online Staff Letter Application System” gets acceptance by the Embassy of the United States of America.

From Wednesday 6thFebruary 2019, the Ministry’s digitally generated job letters will be recognised as valid for any transaction with the Embassy.

Last week, the Ministry of Education became the first government institution that made available to its employees the possibility to request their job letter from the comfort of their home or work place, to obtain it in the record time of two working days and receive it by email. The new digital job letter has been accepted by the Bankers’ Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BATT) and various diplomatic bodies across the nation.

The introduction of this service will positively impact the productivity levels within the Ministry as teachers and employees will no longer have to take time-off to physically visit the Ministry to request and later collect their job letters.

The “Online Staff Letter Application System” can be accessed at the Ministry’s website www.moe.gov.tt or the Ministry’s MYMOE intranet SharePoint page.
