The Ministry of Public Utilities and WASA note with concern several complaints regarding demands being made on members of the public to purchase water during this current dry season.

The Ministry and WASA are urging members of the public to desist from paying for any supply of water. The truck-borne supply of water is provided as a means of bringing relief to persons who may be affected by a drop in their pipe-borne supply, and is a free service provided by the Authority.

The Authority wishes to emphasize that it does not sell water to private truck owners. Therefore, if consumers purchase water from these sources, WASA cannot verify the source nor the quality of such water.

Customers are urged to make their requests for truck-borne supplies to WASA only. Remember, this is a free service, therefore customers are not required to exchange any money for such supplies.

If you need a truck-borne supply of water, call:

800-4H20 (800-4420/6) - Trinidad

623-WASA (623-9272) - Tobago
