January 2nd, 2020. Kent House, Maraval– Senator the Honourable Kazim Hosein warmly welcomed newly sworn-in Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, Senator Foster Cummings to Kent House this morning.
Immediately following the swearing-in ceremony at President’s House, Senator Cummings proceeded to the Ministry where he was greeted by Minister Hosein, Permanent Secretary Desdra Bascombe, Deputy Permanent Secretaries Raymond Seepaul, Jameel Chadee Ameeral and all Heads of Departments.
Minister Hosein assured the new Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry’s fullest support as they work together to improve local government and ensure that citizens benefit from the services all fourteen (14) Corporations. During his address he reiterated the call for improved productivity, efficiency, work ethic and accountability and further called on all Heads of Departments to display more diligence in 2020. Minister Hosein challenged his staff to work smarter in order to improve their productivity as it is essential to improving the quality of lives of our citizenry.
In his brief remarks to the Executive and staff of the Ministry, Senator Cummings thanked Minister Hosein for the welcome and emphasized his commitment to the people of Trinidad and Tobago through public service and desire to fulfil the Government’s mandate of putting people first through the delivery of quality goods and services.
Following his meeting with the Executive and staff, Senator Cummings immediately picked up his duties at the Ministry.
