Parents of students attending the St. Philip’s Government Primary School are satisfied that their children are safe and comfortable since the school was relocated to the Catholic Religious Education Development Institute (CREDI) building which housed the former Belmont Boys’ R.C Primary School building in September, 2018.

Minister of Education Anthony Garcia says, the Principal of the school reported that parents have expressed satisfaction, saying the school compound is large and well maintained and students have adequate space for recreational activities. Parents are also pleased with arrangements by the Ministry of Education to provide transport for their children to and from school.

He notes the attendance at the school is back to normal and all seventy-six (76) students have been attending classes daily at the new location. This is a significant improvement since the student population dwindled to a mere twenty-five (25) prior to the relocation.

Minister Garcia commends the Principal and six (6) teachers of the St. Philip’s Government Primary School as they continue to give of their best to provide quality education for their students.

The Ministry of Education took a decision to relocate the staff and students of St. Philip’s Government Primary School to the Catholic Religious Education Development Institute (CREDI) building which housed the former Belmont Boys’ R.C Primary school in September, 2018 after their school building was condemned by the Ministry of Works and Transport.
