Minister of Communications, Senator the Honourable Donna Cox today, 29 January 2020, officially introduced the newly appointed Board of TTT Limited to the management team of the state entity.
In her brief remarks, Minister Cox commended the management for the quality of the live broadcast of CARIFESTA XIV and Carnival events. She encouraged them to continue to produce great quality work.
“It is important that each of you understand the business of media. The landscape has changed and TTT is expected to compete with new media, the emergence of new technology and shifting consumer behaviour. Your challenge is to create a unique product that our citizens identify with and claim as their own,” said Minister Cox.
Minister Cox advised the new board members to ensure they devise policies which guide the direction of the company. She also advised that they should endeavour to turn the state company into a profitable media company that is less reliant on monthly subventions from the state.
Decisions made by the new board, she said, must be data driven. She implored them to grow TTT’s market share and implement revenue earning measures without incurring additional operational expenses.
The Minister said the new board has been given the opportunity to leverage the public’s attachment to brand TTT.
The reconstituted board is led by Ronda Francis who is a Communications and External Affairs Professional. TTT was formally launched on 30 August 2018 which marked the official change over from its previous brand, CNMG.
