Sixty to receive SEED grant from Social Development Ministry

March 21, 2016: Minister of Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn will deliver the feature address and distribute grants to sixty recipients of the Ministry’s Sowing Empowerment through Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) Programme on Tuesday 22nd March 2015 at the D&R Simplex Complex, LP 59 North Road, New Grant from 10:00 a.m.

Managed by the Ministry’s National Poverty Eradication and Reduction Programmes Coordinating Unit (N PREP CU), the SEED programme gives individuals access to tools, equipment and other material to start or expand a mini/micro enterprise. These individuals are then supported through a multi-pronged system which provides business training, education and mentorship that maximizes their potential for success.
