October 12, 2016: The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is urging the national community to contribute to the relief of persons in Haiti being impacted by the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew.
The Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago has pledged its support to this venture, by setting up deposit accounts to enable contributions from the national community.
Deposits to the ‘Haiti Relief Hurricane Fund’ can be made at the following banks into the respective deposit accounts:
Individuals as well as organisations can make their deposits in cash or via cheques, at any branch of the afore-mentioned commercial banks. Depositors will be required to follow the procedures of the respective banks.
The Government will work with the respective banks to ensure that all funds will be transferred to assist with the recovery efforts in Haiti.
