December 23, 2016: Chief Secretary Orville London has confirmed that all existing Tobago House of Assembly development projects will be continued in 2017.

Speaking at the Post Executive Council Media Briefing on December 22 at the Victor E. Bruce Financial Complex in Scarborough, London said he expects next year to be a challenging one. He said the THA is planning in order to make sure limited resources are used efficiently.

“One of the things this Administration is doing is try to put things in place, so as to ensure that 2017 would still be a year where we are in control of the situation and able to ensure that the people of Tobago maintain a reasonable quality of life,” London said.

He said the aim is to ensure that as many projects as possible can be executed.

London said: “We had a very comprehensive exercise, where we would have gone through all the scores of projects which were recommended and which we were hoping to be able to do, and identify those which are of highest priority and which we can commit to deliver.”
