Service interruption to parts of South East Trinidad

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South East Trinidad, served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply today - Friday February 2, 2018, from 10: a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to carry out emergency repairs to a ruptured 36” diameter transmission main in the vicinity of the Plant.

Areas affected include:

Along Rio Claro Tabaquite Road, from TCO Booster - Rio Claro Roundabout; along Cunapo Southern Main, from Rio Claro Tabaquite Road Junction to Cushe; along Naparima Mayaro Road, from Cocoyea to Manzanilla Mayaro Road; along Moruga Road, from Naparima Mayaro Road Junction to Cachipe; Torrib Tabaquite Road; Guaracara; Rochard Road; parts of New Grant Area; along Cipero Road, from M2 Link Road Junction to Borde Narve / Bronte; Barrackpore, Rochard Douglas Road; Manahambre Road; Debe; Golconda; along Siparia Erin Road, from Namdevco Market to Batchyia Trace; Upper / Lower Rock Road; along Naparima Mayaro Road, from Manahambre Road to Craignish; along Manahambre Road, from St. Charles Road to Naparima Mayaro Rd Junction; Jaipaulsingh Road; St. Croix Road.

The Authority advises that it may take between 8 to 12 hours to normalize the scheduled pipe borne water supply to some affected areas after the Plant resumes full operations.
