The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services is pleased to advise that its Direct Deposit initiative continues to be implemented. With effect from March 2018 approximately eighteen thousand (18,000) recipients of Senior Citizens Pension, Disability Assistance and Public Assistance Grants will join the already thirty-seven thousand six hundred eighty-five (37,685) Social Welfare Grant Recipients who already receive their payments via this method.
All beneficiaries transferring to the Direct Deposit System of Payment will be notified one (1) month prior to the transition as the system is being implemented on a phased basis.
