April 28, 2016: The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of South-West Trinidad, who are currently without a pipe borne supply that this is due to a ruptured 800 millimeter diameter transmission main at LP 38 South Trunk Road, La Romaine.

The Authority has commenced emergency repair work which is expected to be completed by 9.00 PM tonight, Thursday April 28th, 2016.

Affected areas include:

  • South Oropouche
  • Avocat
  • Rousillac
  • Fyzabad
  • Siparia
  • Quarry
  • Santa Flora
  • Palo Seco

Following completion of repairs, it is anticipated that the pipe borne water supply to affected areas will be normalized within 8 hours.

The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
