The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPOST) launched the Implementation of the Address Improvement and Postal Code Project in San Fernando on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at San Fernando City Hall.
This marks the seventh launch of the S42 in communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago with a total coverage of 47 percent.
The S42 addressing standards will standardise all addresses thus improving the accuracy and efficiency of the service provided by TTPOST.
In his feature address, Senator the Honourable Robert Le Hunte, Minister of Public Utilities, stated that the transformation of the Postal sector is necessary and that it will require time and commitment from the management and staff of TTPost and by extension the Ministry of Public Utilities.
The Ministry of Public Utilities is keen on collaborating with all regional Corporations in upgrading TTPost’s efficiency, and in the coming months will launch the S42 Address Standard in Penal/Debe and Siparia.
Minister Le Hunte has given TTPost a 2019 deadline to fully implement this project as part of a larger thrust to develop new areas of business for the national postal carrier and improve its service delivery to members of the public.
