The Board of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT) and the Management of Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited (TTIT), wish to thank the travelling public and all port users for their patience and understanding over the past few months, as we address the challenges of the inter-island ferry service.
The public is assured that at all times the best decision will be made for our loyal passengers who, over the years, have supported and made the ferry service their preferred mode of transport between the islands. As we continue to work towards a more reliable service on the inter-island sea-bridge, the following update is provided.
T&T Spirit - The T&T Spirit, having resume operations on April 16th, 2018 continues to operate on the inter-island service, making the crossing within three (3) hrs.
M.V Galleons Passage - The Galleons Passage commence the inter-island service on October 08, 2018, making the crossing within approximately four (4)hrs.
T&T Express - The T&T Express is currently on laid up status, until it is sold.
M.V Cabo Star -The M.V. Cabo Star was taken out of service on September 20 and resumed operations on Wednesday 03 October, 2018. Following its dry-docking the vessel is making the crossing within 5hr 50 mins
Our data stated above reflects that there is excess capacity on the sea bridge, which we would like to encourage our customers to take advantage of to ensure that passenger and cargo requirements are met. In keeping with its mandate to provide efficient and reliable inter-island transport services, the Board and Management of the Authority wish to assure the public of its commitment to enhance the operations of the government shipping service.
