May 19, 2016: The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago through The Ministry of Planning and Development invites the media to the opening of the Second Caribbean Conference of National Trusts and Preservation Societies 2016 to be held from May 19th to May 22nd 2016. The media are also invited to attend the other days of the conference as indicated in the agenda attached.
The focus of the conference (but not exclusively so) is built Heritage and will also include visits to historic sites and local cultural experiences. The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago will partner with Citizens for Conservation and ICOMOS Trinidad and Tobago to provide a diverse and comprehensive conference program which will include papers and presentations from a cross section of Caribbean countries and international guest speakers.
Opening date: May 19th and ends May 22nd 2016
Time: 8:30am to 4:00pm
Venue: Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre
The pressure of urban development and industrialisation is affecting us all and we are daily losing our heritage structures and places.
