Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs welcomed His Excellency Arun Kumar Sahu, High Commissioner for the Republic of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago during a Courtesy Call on 5th September, 2019 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The Courtesy Call on Minister Moses preceded High Commissioner Sahu’s presentation of his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
During the meeting, discussions focussed on developing the bilateral relationship between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of India.
Commenting on this, Minister Moses expressed Trinidad and Tobago’s wish for increased collaboration with India and highlighted this country’s interest in advancing cooperation between both countries. The Minister also referenced the long and cherished relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and India and stated that he expected that under the tenure of High Commissioner Sahu, the relationship would be further strengthened.
The meeting ended cordially with both parties committed to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
