Ministry of National Security's T&T Regiment Mourns Death of 9666 Corporal Jerry Leacock

May 25, 2016: The Ministry of National Security’s Trinidad and Tobago Regiment mourns the death of 9666 Corporal Jerry Leacock who lost his life on Tuesday 24th May 2016. Reports are that at approximately 5:30 a.m., Corporal Leacock, while off duty, was shot at his home in Arima during a robbery. He was rushed to the Arima Health Facility for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.


Corporal Leacock was born on 21 October 1973 and joined the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment on 06 July 1998. He successfully completed Basic Recruit Training at Teteron Barracks as a member of Recruit Intake 9801. Corporal Leacock served seventeen (17) distinguished years attached to the 1st Engineer Battalion. He was a beloved husband, father and a brother to many.


The Ministry of National Security and especially the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment extend deepest condolences to the family of the late Corporal Jerry Leacock. Funeral arrangements will be announced when finalized.


The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment will continue to work tirelessly in support of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to bring the perpetrators to justice.
