The Honourable Faris Al-Rawi, M.P., Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs met with His Excellency Kumar Gupta, High Commissioner of Canada to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, AGLA Tower, Government Plaza, Corner of London and Richmond Streets, Port of Spain. The Honourable Attorney General congratulated His Excellency on his recent appointment and welcomed him to Trinidad and Tobago. Discussions were held on maintaining the existing strong relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Canada as well as the collaborative efforts in assisting with the furthering of criminal justice reforms, prison reform and a safer Trinidad and Tobago. Also in attendance at the meeting was Mr. Mike Ryan, Advisor to the Commissioner of Correctional Service Canada, Pamela Greenwell, Political and Public Affairs Counsellor, High Commission of Canada, the Commissioner of Prisons (Ag.) Mr. Dane Clarke.
