August 22, 2016: Collaboration with the US Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago will help the advancement of the island’s communities.
This is the view of Secretary of Community Development and Culture, Dr Denise Tsoiafatt-Angus, who met with US Ambassador John Estrada on Tuesday (August 16) to discuss a number of opportunities to collaborate, including the upcoming launch of the Tobago Indigenous and Traditional Arts Academy (TITAA) and the Women in Leadership Programme.
“I am excited about the series of collaborations with the Ambassador in providing a broadened platform for our women to achieve their leadership goals which is outside the usual household.
“This will contribute meaningfully to the development of communities, the island and the country,” Dr. Tsoiafatt-Angus said.
The Women in Leadership series will feature the ‘I am Woman Conference’ on August 25-26 at the Division’s Conference Room.
The issue of Tobagonians accessing services available through the United States Embassy was also discussed.
