The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs on Friday (July 12, 2019) presented a cheque valued at $467,828.00 to the Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Association towards their participation in the Senior Women’s Pan-American Cup in Peru from July 4 to 12 and in Boys’ Under-19 and Girls’ Under-18 World Championship Qualifiers in Jamaica from July 22 to 28.
These funds are also to assist with expenses related to Trinidad and Tobago’s participation at the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit 2019, which began in April, 2019. The remainder of the competition will take place in the Dominican Republic, Bonaire and Jamaica and will conclude in November, 2019.
Prior to the cheque presentation, which took place at the Ministry’s Head Office in St. Clair, acting Permanent Secretary Farook Hosein expressed, on behalf of the Honourble Shamfa Cudjoe, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, best wishes to our volleyball players in their various tournaments.
