March 9, 2016: Outlining the plans of the Consumer Affairs Division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry was the main purpose of a meeting held on Wednesday 9th March, 2016 and hosted by Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry with members of the Movement for Social Justice, led by Mr. David Abdullah.
During the hour long meeting, Senator Gopee-Scoon laid out the programme of activities currently being undertaken by the Consumer Affairs Division, and outlined the aggressive consumer education outreach activities that are planned for the immediate future.
The Consumer Affairs Division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry has a responsibility to protect the interests of consumers; and does this through its robust outreach activities.
These plans will be presented to members of the public on Friday 11th March, 2016 at a Press Conference at the Ministry’s offices.
