WASA advises of service interruption to parts of South Trinidad

February 6, 2017: The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant that there will be a disruption in their water supply on Wednesday 8th February, 2017 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to facilitate pipeline interconnection works at the raw water station of the Plant.

 

Areas to be affected include:

 

  • Princes Town                                                New Grant
  • Malgretoute                                                  Barrackpore
  • Williamsville                                                  Borde Narve
  • Buen Intento                                                 St. Mary’s
  • Manahambre                                                Marabella
  • Rio Claro                                                       Gasparillo
  • Diamond Village                                           Golconda                               
  • St. Joseph Village/Vistabella                        Ste. Madeline

 

 

The Authority further advises advised that it may take up to 12 – 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following resumption of production at the facility. Customers are therefore advised to manage their water use efficiently over the period of the supply interruption.
